An early antique US brass button military horse bit that is likely to of been made by the renowned maker Shoemaker.This bit almost assuredly dates to the 1800s and maybe Indian Wars era or before although the bit has been damaged many years ago and reattached on the ring ends as pictured.These early bits are very difficult to find and whether you chose to display it or if you just needed one of the brass buttons to replace a missing one on your bit heres a seldom found oppurtunity to acquire one.
