A vintage circa 1940s-1950s Santa Fe Railway Railroad conductor's uniform in excellent condition with no missing buttons or damage. This superb uniform consist of a dark blue wool suit jacket, vest, clip on tie and trousers on a Pullman Company wood hanger plus the conductor's hat with gold braiding and enameled badge and hat bag. As a bonus there is a 1959 Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway System General Rules for the Guidance of Employes 10 page booklet plus a packet of Santa Fe Hand Lotion "pillows" with 3 pillows in foil wrappers present. The jacket measures 18" between the top shoulder seams for the sleeves, 23-1/2" from the top of the sleeve to the cuff, 21-1/2" across from the seams at the bottom of the sleeves across the chest and 18-1/2" at the most tapered point across the body and 20" across at the bottom as well as 29" from the bottom of the collar seam to the tail measured down the back. The jacket has a sewn label inside of a crowned circle crossed by a banner that reads "A.G. Meier & Co. Manufacturers of Uniforms Caps 205 W. Monroe St. Chicago and there is a label sewn inside an inner pocket that reads "A.G. Meier & Co. 205 W. Monroe St. Chicago 6, Ill" over For: E. J. Gee Date: 8/9/57 No. 8575. The jacket has 3 brass buttons on the front and two on each sleeve which are marked on the back Waterbury Button Co. Conn. and have the Santa Fe Railway logo on the front. The vest has 6 smaller buttons down the front and the trousers have basic black plastic buttons. The trousers have a 32" waste and the inseam to pant cuff measures 29". The Conductor's Hat is a size 7 in wool with a gold strap and blue and white enameled Santa Fe Conductor's Badge. The has has a label inside the crown which reads all wool over the same crowned circle crossed by a banner A.G. Meier & Co. Manufacturers of Uniforms Caps 205 W. Monroe St. Chicago logo as the jacket. The hat also comes with a protective black drawstring cloth bag which is showing some signs of wear with some fraying and pulls. The rest of the uniform shows no damage or heavy wear and is in superb condition. The wood hanger is marked "Property of the Pullman Company and the lower rung is felt covered. The Employes guide measures 6-1/4" by 4" and the Santa Fe Hand Lotion "pillows" packet measures 2-7/8" by 1-3/4".
