This wonderful antique steam locomotive bell was used by the Union Pacific on a railroad siding at Sutherland,Nebraska.I believe the bell is bronze which is the most sought sought after type of bell and still has a great sound to it when ringing it.The bell itself is in excellent original condition with the number 2894 stamped in it along the top.The cast iron yoke also has some number markings and was painted black by its previous owner who had it on display outside.The diameter of the bell at its base is 16" and the overall height of the bell and frame is 24".This is an important piece of railroad history and would be highly prized in anyones collection.
