This old show saddle with matching bridle belonged to Charlie Evans who for decades represented Buffalo Bill during the Buffalo Bill Rodeo and Nebraskaland Days celebrations in North Platte until his death. He was a spittin image of William F. Cody and helped to keep the spirit of the original inventor of what we know as rodeo today alive so in his own way he was a western icon to those that could appreciate his lifelong contribution to portraying a legend of the old west known as Buffalo Bill.
