  This antique oak chair likely was used in a public lobby area such as a court house, bank or lawyers office. It has a brass tag from the original maker The B. L. Marble Chair Company of Bedford, Ohio. The chair is in rock solid condition with a later finish added and it measures about 33" in height at the back.
  The company was formed in 1894 by in the beginning manufacturing chairs for the home until about 1910 when they began to produce office furniture which was sold to court houses, banks, city buildings, libraries, colleges and other business and professional offices.
