Vintage Linemar Police Car Battery Operated Tin Lithograph Toy & Box

This vintage Linemar Police Car battery operated tin lithograph toy comes with the original worn box and it measures about 7 1/2" long. The battery pack is missing the steering wheel as well as the plastic coating on the cord is gone in a couple places. When we tried putting two D batteries in they don't seem to fit right and it did not run.
