Antique 1877 US Military Sppon Marked MD USA Medical Department

This antique spoon is marked 1877 along with MD USA for the US Medical Department and measures 8 1/2" long. It has corrosion on it but we did not try to clean it at all. It may of been dug from somewhere out here on the plains from the Indian Wars era as we had a fort near here.
