This antique Bates Hawley cast iron front mailbox with the flag is dated 1899 and is still mounted on its original wood. The cast iron front has no damage other than showing years of exposure to the elements with one hinge bolt not original but works fine. The metal case itself is also in pretty good condition and it measures about 18 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 6 1/2" in size.
