This neat Western Union Telegraph porcelain enamel sign with paper blanks cabinet came out of a Union Pacific Railroad depot station back during the passenger train service era. You will simply not be able to find a nicer example of both together as the oak cabinet has two slots while measuring about 9 1/2" x 9" x 3" deep in size. The sign retains both mounting grommets and measures 9" x 4" in size. The cabinet is in the original finish with the advertising front still completely intact and other than an underside crack and light corner wear it displays excellent. The sign retains beautiful rich color and other than a top center flaw it is about as close to perfect condition as you will ever see. Finding both of these items together to display would stand out in any quality railroad memorabilia collection.
