Vintage Mid Century Diego Signed Canvas Painting Antonia Diego Voci ?

This vintage Mid Century painting on canvas is signed Diego with Diego Stillife and 1687-9 marked on the back which we assume is some kind of catalog number. After some research online we found an Italian artist named Antonio Diego Voci who signed his later paintings with Diego starting in the 1960's which would fit the era of this painting. We compared this signature to several online from paintings of his and it sure looks really similar but we are not an art expert so we can not guarantee it. The painting has a couple scrapes which is pictured along with some soiling to the right bottom area of the frame and it measures about 37 1/2" x 21 1/2" in size.
